The Challenge:

Most social platforms prioritize engagement metrics over user well-being, resulting in shallow interactions and screen fatigue. The challenge was to design a purposeful social experience that supports meaningful connection without relying on addictive patterns or endless scrolling.

Shaped the product from concept to final design. Defined the vision, grounded decisions in user research, and translated insights into a cohesive user experience.

Step 1

User Research

When researching, I found the Uses and Gratifications theory, which states that everyone has a personal reason for using media. Fitting all users into one of these four categories allows more accurate content distribution.

Step 2

Iterative Design Evolution

Early wireframes were tested with users to uncover friction points, validate flows, and prioritize features. Each iteration refined the experience based on feedback, moving from exploratory sketches to more polished concepts that improved usability and clarity while staying aligned with user needs.

From initial sketches to refined wireframes, I explored multiple design systems, iterating based on user feedback until identifying the approach with the highest usability and satisfaction.

Step 3

Brand & Interface Toolkit

The style guide was my blueprint for Venture, helping me make faster, more deliberate design decisions. By defining color, type, and UI elements early, I ensured consistency while leaving room to pivot based on user feedback or development constraints.

Step 4

Mapping the Experience

By mapping key interactions, I refined the path users take to complete important tasks, keeping their goals at the forefront of my design process.
